Ook wel eens zitten dagdromen dat je op een dag wordt gevraagd om nú meteen je koffers te pakken? Je moet dan wel meteen weten te zeggen wáár je heen wilt. Ben erg benieuwd naar jullie favoriete vakantiebestemmingen, waar brengen jullie het liefste de vakantie door? Of waar zouden jullie het allerliefste heen willen gaan? In deze stemming was ik dus bij het maken van deze kaart, het is voor een vriend van ons die morgen jarig is (en toch mijn blog niet bekijkt, dus veilig ;-) vandaar het wat mannelijke karakter van de kaart, misschien zijn vrouwen wel avontuurlijker. Hoe zit dat met jullie? Ik heb een nieuwe stempel van stal gehaald, eentje van The Montage Collection, heb 'm jaaaaaaaaaaaaaren geleden aangeschaft vanwege dat paspoort dus. En die nieuwe Creatables van Marianne Design zijn top! Doet me denken aan de tijd dat mannen nog echte heren waren, de romantiek van Clark Gable, Gregory Peck en Rock Hudson. Gelukkig heb ik mijn eigen Clark Gable thuis, alleen draagt hij jammer genoeg niet zo'n geweldige Stetson!

You girls ever been daydreaming about being asked one day to pack your bags right away? Of course you will have to be able to say immediately where you would like to go. I'm very curious as to your favourite holiday destinations, where do you girls prefer spending your holidays? Or where would you love to go someday? I was quite in a traveling mood while making this card, it's for a friend of ours who's celebrating his birthday tomorrow (he's not looking at my blog so it's safe to show it already ;-) Hence the male character of my card, however, maybe women are more adventurous?? How about you all? I dug up a new stamp, which is from The Montage Collection; I've had it securely stashed away all of these years, but I bought it because of the passport. And don't you just love those new Marianne Design Creatables. They're gorgeous! This one reminds me of the days that men were real gentlemen, the romance of Clark Gable, Gregory Peck and Rock Hudson. Thank goodness I've got one of these back home, lol, such a shame he's not wearing one of those fine Stetsons though!

Some Bunny's Friend

Allereerst heel hartelijk dank allemaal voor de felicitaties, mijn mannetje kan al die extra vrouwelijke aandacht bijzonder waarderen ;-) Heb voor één van mijn lieve blogvriendinnen deze kaart gemaakt, o.a. om haar te zeggen dat ik haar vriendschap erg op prijs stel. De stempel is van Stampinback (I brake for stamps) en is gebruikt in combinatie met Derwent Coloursoft potloden en het papier van Eline's Huis. Degenen die mij goed kennen, weten dat konijntjes nou eenmaal mijn lievelingsdieren zijn, nou, geef zo'n konijntje zo'n schattig jurkje aan en ik ben verkocht! Geen wonder dat ik zo dol ben op Beatrix Potter! Met zo'n konijntje wil je toch op stap? Al is het maar om een nieuwe handtas te kopen ;-)
First of all thank you all for your sweet birthday wishes, my husband really appreciates all this extra female attention ;-) I made this card for one of my dear blog buddies, also to say how much I appreciate and value her friendship. I used a Stampinback stamp (I brake for stamps) and coloured my image with  Derwent Coloursoft pencils, papers are from Eline's Huis. Those of you that know me well, know that bunnies happen to be my favourite animals; dress up a bunny in such a pretty frock and I'm in love! No wonder I love Beatrix Potter so much! Who wouldn't want to go out with a cute little bunny like this? If only to buy a new handbag ;-)

Steampunk birthday boy

Vandaag is m'n mannetje jarig! Heb met één van de nieuwe embossingfolders van Couture Creations en het Core'dinationspapier van Tim Holtz de achtergrond van m'n kaart gemaakt. Wat is dit toch gaaf papier om mee te werken! Was zo slim om eerst m'n hobbykamer te stofzuigen en alles schoon te maken en ben toen lekker aan het schuren geslagen ;-) Maar goed, ik ben de enige bewoner van die kamer ha ha ha! De Steampunk afbeelding heb ik op Deviantart gevonden en is van Lazendar, ik heb distress inkt gebruikt voor het inkleuren voor een beetje shabby resultaat. De tekststempels zijn gecombineerd. Maak er een mooi weekend van allemaal!!

Today is my DH's birthday! I've taken one of the new embossing folders of  Couture Creations and Tim Holtz Core'dinations paper to create the background of my card. Boy I love these papers, they're so cool! I was clever enough to first start vacuum cleaning my craft den and clean the whole lot and THEN I started sanding the papers, ;-0! Oh well, I'm the only one who lives in that room, lol! I found the Steampunk image on Deviantart, it's from an artist called Lazendar. I used distress inks for a bit of a shabby look, I combined two text stamps here. Have a lovely weekend you all!!

Let's celebrate spring with My Crafty Heart

Heerlijk! De lente is in aantocht! Had dan ook echt zin om iets te maken om de lente te 'vieren'! Ik had al heel lang een blauw vogelkooitje liggen dat ik ooit eens bij de Action heb gekocht. Ik heb deze met spuitlak een beetje wit gespoten (lak die lekker snel droogt, dus je kunt vrij snel verder!) en verder versierd. Het papier dat ik voor de bloemen heb gebruikt is van Prima Marketing (My Mind's Eye Be Happy) in combinatie met de Tattered Florals stans van Tim Holtz. Het prachtige vogeltje is van Prima Marketing. Het bedje van donsveertjes is ook al gelegd. En ik kon het niet nalaten om toch nog een klein miniboekje te maken met de verhaaltjes van Moeder de Gans ;-) I love it when spring is nearly there! Really felt like making something to 'celebrate' spring! This blue birdcage has been in my possession for quite a while now and I spray painted it white (not too much though, since I still wanted that shade of blue). I used Prima Marketing papers (My Mind's Eye Be Happy) for the flowers which are made with Tim Holtz' Tattered Florals. The lovely resin bird is from Prima Marketing. A feathered bed is already made. And I just couldn't resist making another mini booklet with the stories of Mother Goose ;-)
