Black or White or? Colours!!

Voor Poppystamps weer eens wat kaarten gemaakt. Ben een beetje tegenstrijdig bezig geweest, zwart/wit versus kleur. Maar omdat ik nu eenmaal een echt kleurenmens ben, eerst de kleurenkaart. Hiervoor eerst met distress inkt een achtergrond gemaakt en daarover heen gestencild, de Sharpie-pen deed de rest, gewoon beetje freestyle ingetekend en stippeltjes aangebracht, allemaal niet zo netjes, mag ook wel eens een keer ;-) Vond het achteraf wel wat op vuurwerk lijken!
Made some cards for Poppystamps again, quite a contradiction really, since I've made a couple in black and white and the other one in colour. But since I simply love colours, I'd like to show you my coloured version first. Made a background with distress inks, used my MB stencils with white ink and my Sharpie pen did the rest, did a bit of freestyle drawing and added little dots here and there. Not so neat, makes a nice change ;-) Afterwards I thought, hey, it's a bit like fireworks!

En dan terug de tijd in: die van de zwart/wit film. Die leuke filmstrip van Poppystamps is echt zo geschikt voor het thema 'bioscoop'. Van wie de symbolen zijn (die met de hand zijn uitgeknipt)? Tja, wie kent ze niet, zou ik zeggen! De quotes zijn uiteraard van de beroemdheden zelf ;-)
And now let's go back in time: the days of the black and white films. The fabulous film strip of Poppystamps is absolutely perfect for the cinema theme. I hand cut the symbols, guess who they belong to? You all know them, I'd say! The quotes are of the celebrities themselves ;-)

A Party Without Cake Is Just A Meeting

Gisteren vierde blogvriendin Anneke haar verjaardag en natuurlijk hoort daar een kaartje bij, nou ja, in dit geval een mini theatertje. Versierd met het schattige papier van de Action, kantje en houten vlindertjes (cadeautje van lief vriendinnetje Odetta). De vlaggenlijn is gemaakt met de stans van Joy!Crafts 6003/0028, de bloem is van Memory Box (Fabulous Phlox). Het gave klokje en kant komen uit de webwinkel van Frida (supertip van Odetta ;-) Let op hoor, je wordt er erg hebberig van, heb zojuist weer wat besteld bij haar! De bovenrand is gemaakt met een stans van Spellbinders.

Yesterday blog buddy Anneke was celebrating her birthday and that calls for a card, well, a mini theatre in this case. Adorned with the lovely papers from Action (A Dutch store), lace and wooden butterflies (they were a gift from my sweet friend Odetta). The banner was made with the Joy!Crafts die 6003/0028, flower: Memory Box (Fabulous Phlox). The cool clock and lace are from Frida's webstore (fantastic tip from Odetta ;-) Mind you, you'll want to order something straight away, I've just placed another order! The top part was made with Spellbinders:

New Sketch Challenge

Vandaag hebben we bij Vintage Udfordring weer een nieuwe uitdaging voor jullie, een sketch deze keer. Dit is wat ik ervan heb gemaakt, niet erg creatief, ik ben de eerste die het toegeeft, had nét iets teveel aan m'n hoofd, maar ik ben ervan overtuigd dat jullie vast iets mooiers kunnen maken, doen jullie mee? Het papier, afbeelding en siersteentjes zijn allemaal van Papirdesign.no. Kon het niet nalaten om de man een feestmutsje op te zetten ;-) Geniet van de zondag!

Love Wreath

Na een hele drukke werkweek toch weer wat tijd gevonden om iets te maken voor ons Poppystamps blog. Ik heb het voor mijn doen heel eenvoudig gehouden, een simpele, klassieke krans in klassieke, rustige kleuren:

After a very busy week at work I was able to find some time again to create something for our Poppystamps blog. This is quite a CAS card to me, a plain, classic wreath in classic, soft colours:

Voor de vlinder niet alleen papier, maar ook vellum gebruikt, geeft zo'n teer effect. Nog wat nep-stiksteekjes erop en wat parelbloemetjes. Lint van de Wibra:

Not only did I use paper for the butterfly, but also vellum; this gives such tenderness to this delicate creature. I also added some faux stitches and some pearl flowers. Ribbon from Wibra (a Dutch store):

Carpe Diem... Pluk de dag! Deze dame heeft er in elk geval zin in, ze viert het leven ;-) Heb een oud houten fotolijstje gepimpt met wat bling en een veertje van Joy!Crafts en ballonnetje van Marianne Design, de grote swirl is van Memory Box. Fijne avond, geniet ervan, ik ga in elk geval zometeen heerlijk van een nieuwe CSI aflevering genieten!
