Zo, nu eerst...

Waar maak je een echte man blij mee? Met een sexy vrouw en op zijn tijd een biertje natuurlijk! Dus ik wist al gauw wat ik voor mijn man's verjaardag wilde maken, tel daarbij op dat we tirolerkleding in- en verkopen en het idee is snel geboren. De kleurplaat kreeg ik enige tijd geleden van een vriendin van me toegestuurd, vond ze wel toepasselijk voor ons ;-) Heb een leeg flesje bier uit het kratje gehaald en gepimpt, het is tijd voor een feestje! Het duurt niet lang meer voordat de weidefeesten beginnen en dan mag deze sexy serveerster weer de alpenweide op! En hoe zit het met dat rode rokje? Ja, jullie meiden weten toch ook wel dat als je een man op pad stuurt om voor jou lingerie te kopen, hij 9 van de 10 keren voor een rood setje zal kiezen? Ooh-la-la!
What makes a real man happy? With a sexy girl and a beer once in a while of course! So I pretty quickly knew what I was going to make for my husband's birthday and if you take into account that we're importing and exporting Bavarian garments it all adds up I suppose! One of my friends sent me this wonderful colouring page, she thought it was perfect for us ;-) I took an empty beer bottle out of its crate and altered it, it's party time!  It won't be long before the first meadow parties are taking place and this sexy waitress is serving ice cold beers again on the meadows! And what about that red skirt? Well, you girls probably also know that when your husband is sent on a lingerie mission, he's bound to buy you a fiery red set? Ooh-la-la!

En afgelopen weekend lag er deze prachtige stempelset van Stampin Up! in de brievenbus omdat ik de challenge bij Let's Create had gewonnen met deze set kaarten! Vind ze geweldig!

And last weekend I found this gorgeous stamp set of Stampin Up! in the mailbox because I had won a challenge over at Let's Create with this set of cards! I think they're awesome!

We gaan bijna een nieuw jaar tegemoet. Wat zal het ons brengen? Iedereen vraagt zich dat heus wel eens af, maar is het niet gewoon beter om het leven te nemen zoals het komt? En er dan mee te 'dealen'? Het bespaart je een hoop zorgen vooraf en daarom heb je meer tijd om te genieten van de mooie dingen die op je pad komen. Ieder mens krijgt z'n nodige portie mee, het gaat erom hoe je ermee om gaat. Ik wens jullie dan ook vooral veel liefde en gezondheid toe, want als je dat bezit, ben je een gelukkig mens! En vergeet niet te (glim)lachen! Je zult zien dat een hoop mensen vanzelf teruglachen! En daar word je als mens toch blij van? Dank jullie wel voor alle gezellige en leuke bezoekjes van het afgelopen jaar, hoop nog veel van jullie creativiteit te mogen genieten! Hier is mijn laatste verjaardagskaart van het jaar, tot 2013!

We're almost entering the new year. No doubt we all wonder what it will bring us. But wouldn't it be better to just take life as it comes? And 'deal' with it when you're confronted with something? This will save you lots of worries in advance and so you will have more time to enjoy the wonderful things that life has in store for you. Everyone gets his share in life, but it's how you cope with it. So my dearest wish for you all is lots of love and good health, because if you are in possession of those, you're one happy human being! Oh, and don't forget to smile/laugh a lot! You'll notice people responding to that! Which will make you happy in return. Thank you all so very much for your sweet, lovely visits to my blog and I so hope to enjoy your creativity for many more years to come! Here's my last birthday card of the year, see you in 2013!

Ball at the Moulin Rouge

Toen ik deze afbeelding op Deviantart tegenkwam, had ik op de één of andere manier direct het beeld van de Moulin Rouge voor me, een meisje voor het eerst alleen in de grote stad Parijs, op zoek naar nieuw geluk. Dit dametje heeft de mazzel dat ze er zo leuk uit ziet, ze kan nl. zó aan de slag in de Moulin Rouge, als danseres, maar ze is nog aan het twijfelen... Ik heb haar ingekleurd met Derwent Coloursoft, het papier is van Prima Marketing (Moulin Rouge, hoe kan het ook anders?). Nog wat grove stiksteken om de rand met de hand genaaid. De grote bloem is zelfgemaakt met de retroponsen.
When I saw this pretty girl on Deviantart I somehow immediately envisaged the Moulin Rouge. She's a young girl, all alone in the big city of Paris, looking for new happiness. This little lady is fortunate for having such good looks, she's about to be employed as a dancer, but she's still doubting... I coloured her with my Derwent Coloursoft pencils, papers are from Prima Marketing (Yes, Moulin Rouge, indeed!). I handstitched the entire page rather coarsely and made the large flower with my retro punches:

The First Blooms of Spring

Enig om te lezen waar jullie het liefste heen gaan met de vakantie, bedankt voor jullie enthousiaste reacties! Voorlopig wordt er eerst vakantie gevierd in de achtertuin, is het nu goed vertoeven met die schitterende bloesems. Onze magnolia staat volop in bloei, de seringen komen uit en de pruimenbomen zijn helaas al weer op hun retour. Ik word gewoon blij van al die bloemen en daarom mochten ze ook niet ontbreken op deze verjaardagskaart die bestemd is voor blogvriendinnetje Annemarie die morgen jarig is, maar mijn kaart al heeft ontvangen ;-) Het achtergrondpapier is van Prima Marketing (Meadow Lark) en is te verkrijgen bij My Crafty Heart. Omdat de kleine Sarah op haar blote voetjes loopt, heb ik maar een bloemenbedje voor haar gemaakt van Flower Soft (My Crafty Heart), dat loopt lekker zacht!
I really enjoyed reading about your favourite holiday destinations, thanks for your enthusiastic reactions! For the time being our backyard is where we'll be celebrating our holidays. Such a wonderful place to be right now with all these wonderful blossoming trees. Our Magnolia tree is in full bloom, the lilac tree is about to show its magnificent flowers and unfortunately the prune trees no longer share their blossoms with us. All these flowers make me happy, that's why I definitely needed flowers on this birthday card which I made for my blog buddy Annemarie who'll be celebrating her birthday tomorrow (but she's already received my card ;-) Background papers are from Prima Marketing (Meadow Lark) and is available at My Crafty Heart. Because little Sarah is walking barefoot I made a flower bed for her out with Flower Soft (My Crafty Heart), which is nice and soft for her feet!

Some Bunny's Friend

Allereerst heel hartelijk dank allemaal voor de felicitaties, mijn mannetje kan al die extra vrouwelijke aandacht bijzonder waarderen ;-) Heb voor één van mijn lieve blogvriendinnen deze kaart gemaakt, o.a. om haar te zeggen dat ik haar vriendschap erg op prijs stel. De stempel is van Stampinback (I brake for stamps) en is gebruikt in combinatie met Derwent Coloursoft potloden en het papier van Eline's Huis. Degenen die mij goed kennen, weten dat konijntjes nou eenmaal mijn lievelingsdieren zijn, nou, geef zo'n konijntje zo'n schattig jurkje aan en ik ben verkocht! Geen wonder dat ik zo dol ben op Beatrix Potter! Met zo'n konijntje wil je toch op stap? Al is het maar om een nieuwe handtas te kopen ;-)

Those of you that know me well, know that bunnies happen to be my favourite animals; dress up a bunny in such a pretty frock and I'm in love! No wonder I love Beatrix Potter so much! Who wouldn't want to go out with a cute little bunny like this? If only to buy a new handbag ;-)

Flower Fairies playing in the forest

Bloemen en elfjes, kan het dromeriger? Vroeger als klein kind liep ik in de bossen al te zoeken naar elfjes en kabouters (en nog!), kon me hele voorstellingen maken van hun huisjes, van die gezellige knusse woninkjes, met mostapijtjes en heerlijke bloemengeuren. Toen ik dit elfje (Fairy Donna) dat Teresa van My Crafty Heart heeft getekend voor het eerst zag, wist ik direct voor wie ik iets zou gaan maken, mijn twee nichtjes Gwynn en Phoebe. Ik heb de elfjes twee maal afgedrukt, waarvan ééntje gespiegeld. Da's ook meteen het leuke van digitale afbeeldingen, je kunt ze spiegelen, vergroten, verkleinen, net wat je wilt! Overigens worden er in de webshop van My Crafty Heart nog veel meer prachtige elfjes aangeboden, zijn jullie er al eens wezen kijken? Zeker doen, want ook de papierlijnen zijn beeldschoon! Ik heb mijn elfjes lekker in de bomen laten schommelen aan een bloem, precies zoals ik me dat voorstel in het bos ;-) Op de takjes nog wat flowersoft. En ik ben niet de enige die dol is op Fairy Donna, ook mijn teamgenote bij My Crafty Heart, Sue, heeft deze week een prachtige kaart met haar gemaakt!!

Flowers and fairies, can't get any dreamier, can it? When I was a little child I would run around in the forest to look for fairies and gnomes (I still do!), envisaged complete villages with cute little houses, moss carpets lying on the floor and the smell of flowers coming out of the chimneys. When I first saw this sweet fairy (Fairy Donna), which is hand drawn by Teresa of My Crafty Heart, I  immediately thought of my two lovely nieces Gwynn and Phoebe. I printed the fairies twice, I mirrored the image as well. Now that's the fun part of digital images, you can either mirror, enlarge or scale them any which way you like! By the way, you can find lots of other beautiful fairies in Teresa's store My Crafty Heart, did you have a look already? Please do, because that's not all there is, you will find the most fabulous paper packages and the finest of embellishments! My fairies are swinging from a flower stem, exactly as I imagine their lives in the woods ;-) I used some flowersoft for the branches. By the way, I'm not the only one who adores Fairy Donna, my teamy at MCH, Sue, has made a gorgeous card with her!!

En ik werd afgelopen week ook nog blij verrast met deze prachtige tag van Tracy, die ze speciaal voor Valentijnsdag heeft gemaakt, beeldschoon!! Nogmaals heel hartelijk dank!!!

Chinese New Year

Maandag wordt het Chinees Nieuwjaar gevierd, het jaar van de draak. Benieuwd wat het allemaal weer gaat brengen! Net zoals vorig jaar, heb ik iets gemaakt in het teken van het Chinees Nieuwjaar, dit keer een muurhanger. De frames heb ik uit goudkleurig karton gestanst (Spellbinders Fleur de Lys Squares), de kleurplaat van het Chinese mangameisje heb ik gevonden op Deviantart en ingekleurd met Derwent Coloursoft potloden. De Chinese tekst zou "jaar van de draak" moeten betekenen en heb ik op het internet gevonden, geprint op wit papier en beinkt met Distress Inkt Barn Door. De buddha is een bedel die ik er voor goed geluk aan heb gehangen. De gouden rozenblaadjes zijn gemaakt met de Nellie Snellen pons en de rode flos komt uit mijn verzameling.
Coming Monday lots of people are going to celebrate the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Dragon. Let's see what this year will bring us! Same as last year I made something  for CNY, this time it's a wall hanging. I die cut the frames from gold coloured cardstock (Spellbinders Fleur de Lys Squares), I found the colouring page of the Chinese anime girl on Deviantart and coloured her with my Derwent Coloursoft pencils. The Chinese text says "Year of the Dragon" (if I'm correct) and was found on the internet, printed on white paper and distressed with Barn Door. The buddha is a charm that I added for good luck. I made the golden rose leaves with the Nellie Snellen punch and the red tassel is from my collection of odds and ends.

From Holland with love

Voor een hele goede (buitenlandse) vriendin van me heb ik deze oerhollandse kaart gemaakt. Uiteraard in onze nationale driekleur ;-) Het meisje vond ik hier, heb haar met Derwent Coloursoft potloden ingekleurd en een beetje een Volendams uiterlijk proberen mee te geven. De bloemen zijn gemaakt met de retroponsen en verder heb ik stanzen van Marianne Design and Crealies gebruikt. Speculaas is natuurlijk toch wel iets typisch nederlands en ik zag deze bakvorm (in de vorm van een molen), dus die heb ik meegestuurd, kan m'n vriendin zelf aan het bakken en genieten van de lekkere geur in haar keuken!
For a really close (foreign) friend of mine I made this Dutch card. Of course in our national colours, red, white, blue ;-) I found the girl here, coloured her with Derwent Coloursoft pencils and tried to give her the "Volendam feel". I made the flowers with retro punches, furthermore I used dies from Marianne Design and Crealies. Spiced brown biscuits are a typically Dutch treat and when I found this wooden baking mould (in the shape of a Dutch windmill) I just had to include it in my parcel so that my friend can enjoy the lovely smell while baking the biscuits in her kitchen!

Vandaag is het eindelijk zover: My Crafty Heart is online! De eigenaresse, Teresa, heeft samen met haar man en zoon heel hard gewerkt om dit voor elkaar te krijgen en heeft een heel leuk cadeautje voor jullie op haar blog, een prachtige digi-fairy om de opening van de nieuwe scrapbookwinkel te vieren. Home Is Where The Heart Is

Het duurt nog maar een paar dagen en dan is het zover: dan opent de ongelooflijk talentvolle Teresa haar online scrapbookwinkel "My Crafty Heart"! Op 14 januari a.s. is het zover en kunnen jullie o.a. haar schitterende digi-stempels aanschaffen! Eén van die digi-stempels heb ik hier gebruikt, ze heet MCH Fairy en maakt deel uit van het logo van My Crafty Heart . Omdat we een onwijs leuk team hebben, heb ik me vanaf meet af aan "thuis" gevoeld dus was het ook niet meer dan vanzelfsprekend dat ik dit elfje in haar eigen huisje heb geplaatst :-) In ons MCH-honk heerst een superaangename sfeer waar ieder DT-lid haar eigen ding kan doen, net als thuis dus! Ik vind het geweldig om van dit team deel uit te mogen maken. We kunnen geen betere gastvrouw hebben dan Teresa! Deze is dan ook speciaal voor haar, om haar succes toe te wensen met haar webwinkel. Hier alvast een klein voorproefje:

It will only be a couple of days before the incredibly talented Teresa opens her own online papercraft store "My Crafty Heart"! Coming January 14th you'll be able to purchase a wide variety of beautiful items, among which her gorgeous digi stamps! I used one of Teresa's digi stamps; her name is MCH Fairy and is part of MCH's logo. Since we have a really fantastic team, I immediately felt completely at home. That's why I wanted to place this little fairy inside her own home :-) Our MCH-team has a great atmosphere, each DT member can create in her own style, just like home! Ik blijf nog even in het Halloween-sfeertje hangen met jullie goedvinden! Vind het té leuk! Voor deze verjaardagskaart heb ik een vleermuis uitgeknipt uit het papier van All My Memories. Diddl is een kleurplaat die ik heb ingekleurd met Derwent Coloursoft potloden.
I'm sticking with the Halloween theme if you girls don't mind! I'm having too much fun here! For this birthday card I cut out a bat (papers are All My Memories). Diddl is a colouring page that I coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils.
