Happy Easter!

Het is een beetje last minute allemaal hier met de Paasvoorbereidingen, maar ik heb nog iets kunnen maken voor de ontbijttafel morgenochtend ;-) Wou een beetje iets gezelligs op tafel zetten en heb deze eierdopjes gemaakt, gewoon van stukjes keukenrolkarton. Heb het mooie papier van Scrapberry's (Versailles) gebruikt om de eierdopjes en vogeltjes van MDF (Action) mee te beplakken. Ze staan op kleine cupcake standaards:

I'm a tad late with my Easter preparations this year, I bearly made it to create something for our breakfast table tomorrow morning ;-) I wanted to have something nice and decorative, so I made these egg cups out of an empty kitchen roll. I used the lovely Scrapberry's papers (Versailles) to cover the egg cups and MDF birds (Action) with. I then placed them onto tiny cupcake stands:

 Met de Crealies stansen no. 1 XXL heb ik de bloem gemaakt en daarop ook een vrolijk beplakt vogeltje geplaatst. De kantjes, bloemparels en parelband komen ook weer allemaal uit Frida's winkeltje:

En nu is dus niet alleen onze ontbijttafel gezellig aangekleed, ook in ons toilet vertoeft een goed opgevoed konijntje, want hij weet precies wanneer hij zijn oogjes moet sluiten ;-)

And so now not only our breakfast table is nicely decorated, in our toilet a well-bred little rabbit resides, because he knows exactly when to close his eyes, LOL!

Somebunny to Love..

Zoals velen van jullie weten, zijn konijnen mijn lievelingsdieren. En tja, wanneer de Pasen er dan aankomt? Dan is de keuze voor mij gemakkelijk:

As many of you know, rabbits are my favourite animals, so with Easter on our doorstep I couldn't possibly miss out on them now could I?

 Ik heb eerst een eivorm geknipt en vervolgens met het leuke papier van de Action aan het versieren geslagen, konijntje in het gras van Poppystamps erbij, de vintage dame heeft de Marie Antoinette-behandeling ondergaan ("kop eraf") en heeft een lief konijnensnoetje gekregen:

I first cut out an egg shape and started out embellishing it with the pretty Action papers. The rabbit lying in the grass is from Poppystamps, the vintage lady underwent the Marie Antoinette treatment ("off with her head") and has now been given this sweet bunny face:

Beefeater Bunnies

Erg hè, ik heb dit jaar slechts één Paaskaart gemaakt en die is voor mijn zus en haar gezin. Zij gaan de Paasvakantie in Engeland doorbrengen en dus leek het me wel gezellig om een combi-kaartje te maken, om hen zowel fijne Paasdagen alsmede een goede reis toe te wensen! Ik ben - zoals jullie wel weten - helemaal wég van klassieke kleding en dus ook van de kleding die de Yeoman Warders, oftewel "Beefeaters", in de UK dragen. Laat ik nou bij ons in de tuin nét de juiste konijnen tegen komen met precies de juiste lengte oren? Meteen gevraagd of ze zin hadden in een verkleedpartijtje en daar hadden ze wel oren naar ja, ha ha ha! Fijne Paasdagen gewenst!! 
Shame on me... I only made one single Easter card this year and I've sent it to my sister and her family. They'll be spending the Easter holidays in the UK and so I thought it would be fun to combine two wishes in one card, the first to wish them Happy Easter and the second to wish them a safe trip! As you probably all know by now I'm totally smitten with classic costumes, hence also by the costumes worn by the UK Yeoman Warders, AKA "Beefeaters". And would you believe it? I just happened to bump into the right bunnies in our garden with exactly the correct set of ears. And so I asked them whether they would like to play dress up with me and fortunately for me they were all ears ;-) Happy Easter to you all!!

Bunny Swing Along!

Ik heb het gevoel dat het vrijdag is! Zo druk met alle last minute bestellingen van klanten. Maar vanaf volgende week wordt het weer rustiger, heb ik weer iets meer tijd voor de broodnodige creatieve ontspanning ;-) 
Voor het Poppystamps blog deze konijnenschommel gemaakt. De lente is in aantocht, heerlijk! En ja, als je de lente in je bol hebt? Dan wil je naar buiten! Dit kleine konijntje wil niets liever dan op de schommel, maar ja, die wildebras moet wel een beetje in de gaten worden gehouden door moeder konijn natuurlijk ;-) Ik heb mijn prieeltje gemaakt door twee x de Meso Background stans uit te snijden en deze in het midden aan elkaar te lijmen. Takjes, blaadjes en bloemetjes groeien al welig:
I have that Friday feeling already! We've been so busy with all these last minute orders from our customers. But as of next week things will quiet down a bit, which will allow for some more creative hours again ;-) 
For our Poppystamps blog I made this bunny swing. Spring is on its way and I love it! And what do you do when spring is on your mind? You want to play outdoors! This wee little bunny likes nothing better than playing on the swing, but of course this impulsive wild one needs to be kept an eye on by Bunny Mom of course ;-) I made my gazebo by cutting two Poppystamps Meso Backgrounds and gluing them together in the centre. Leaves, branches and flowers are already growing in abundance:

Easter Treats

Met Pasen komen mijn zus, zwager en twee nichtjes gezellig bij ons eten en natuurlijk worden er dan paaseieren verstopt, vind het zelf namelijk veeeeeeeeeeeeeels te leuk! Denk toch maar dat ik manlief ga vragen om ze te verstoppen, kan ik lekker meezoeken ;-)
Heb voor m'n twee nichtjes deze Paascadeautjes gemaakt, heel simpel, van wc-rolletjes en bierviltjes (jullie herkennen de vormen vast wel ;-) Heb de afbeelding van dit schattige paasmeisje gevonden op Deviantart, ze is getekend door Yampuff, die heeft zulke mooie plaatjes! Ik ga jullie allemaal alvast hele fijne Paasdagen toewensen! Veel plezier bij het zoeken naar het gouden ei ;-)

At Easter my sister, BIL and two nieces are coming over for diner at our place and of course we will hide Easter eggs. Couldn't possibly NOT do it, for I like it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy too much! Think I'm going to ask hubby to hide them, so I can join the girls in their search, LOL!

I've made these little Easter treats for my nieces, real easy peasy, out of toilet rolls and beer coasters (I'm sure you will all recognize the shapes ;-) I found the image of this cute Easter bunny girl on Deviantart, she's drawn by Yampuff who has the most amazing images! Easter With Jane Austen

Jane Austen, Pasen, Wedgewood. De ingrediënten voor mijn kaart van vandaag. Heb silhouetten uitgeknipt van Jane Austen en Mr. Darcy en daar konijnenoren aan gemaakt, kon het niet laten ;-) En ja, met Pasen dekken we onze tafel toch gezellig? Nou heb ik echt geen Wedgewood in huis hoor, ik ben Mrs. Bucket, eh, ik bedoel Bouquet niet hi hi! Maar ik hou wel van een bloemetje erbij, mooie servetten en lekker eten. Wat zijn jullie plannetjes voor de Pasen? Ben benieuwd! Een hele fijne zondag verder en heel erg bedankt allemaal voor jullie leuke reacties op m'n gepimpte bierflesje!

Don't you just love setting the table at Easter? I don't have Wedgewood by the way, after all I'm not Mrs. Bucket, errr, I mean Mrs. Bouquet, LOL! But I do love some lovely flowers on the table, nice napkins and some good food. What are your Easter plans? Would love to hear them. I'm late, I'm late... for a very important date!

Wanneer het bijna Pasen is, zie ik overal konijntjes en dat zijn nu eenmaal mijn favoriete diertjes! Heerlijk toch, die prachtige knuffels? Had vanmiddag zo'n zin om tijdens m'n pauze te freubelen en heb deze Paashoed gemaakt, mét natuurlijk zo'n schattig konijntje erop! Hoorde op de radio het liedje "Wherever I lay my hat" van Paul Young en kreeg toen het idee van het hoedje. Maar bij nader inzien ziet het er eigenlijk ook wel uit als een kopje. Nou ja, hoe dan ook, ik had de lente in m'n bol zullen we maar zeggen!
I keep seeing bunnies everywhere, especially around Easter and I just love them, they're my favourite animals! Don't you love them, too, they're so soft and cuddly... I so felt like making something during my lunch break this afternoon so I made this Easter hat. Paul Young's song 'Wherever I lay my hat' was on the radio this afternoon, hence the idea of the hat. Come to think of it, it kind of looks like a cup, too. Well, you girls decide what this is, I only had spring on my mind!

Degenen die mijn blog al een tijdje volgen, weten dat ik nogal van het 'pimpen' ben. Ik was pas geleden mijn kast eens aan het opruimen, een kleine voorjaarsschoonmaak zeg maar, toen ik deze oude schoenen tegenkwam:
Those of you that have been following my blog for some time now, know that I love to alter things. I was recently cleaning out my cupboard, did a bit of "spring cleaning" so to speak and came across these old shoes:

Nou vond ik het zonde om ze zomaar weg te doen en het leek me wel grappig om er een gezellig nieuw nestje van te maken en dit is het uiteindelijk geworden, heb er lila veren op gelijmd, doilies gebruikt, de bloem op de hak is gemaakt met een nieuwe stans van Kreaxion, voor de medaillon heb ik een fotootje uitgeknipt van een dame en afgelakt met Glossy Accents. Oh ja, ik moest de binnenkant van de schoen eerst nog een paar keer verven met paarse parelmoerverf. Laat de nieuwe bewoners maar komen ;-)

I thought it would be such a waste just to get rid of them and wanted to turn one of them into a cosy bird's nest, this is how it finally turned out. I glued purple feathers all over the shoe, used doilies, made the flower on the heel with a new Kreaxion die, I cut out a small picture of a vintage lady and used Glossy Accents to give it a lovely shine. Oh and I also needed to paint the inside of the shoe with purple mother of pearl paint. The nest is ready for some new inhabitants ;-)

Maar ja, je weet hoe dat gaat, als je één ding tegen komt, dan liggen er vaak ook nog wel andere dingen waar je iets mee kunt; en dat was ook het geval met een paar gipsen eieren die ik vorig jaar gratis bij het Kruidvat meekreeg. Ze zijn eigenlijk bedoeld om te beschilderen, heb ze dan ook eerst een paar laagjes vanille acrylverf meegegeven en ben ze toen aan het versieren gegaan, niet al te netjes en precies, omdat ik ze wel een wat 'shabby' look wou meegeven. Omdat ik een groot fan ben van Jane Austen, heb ik in de loop der jaren heel wat plaatjes verzameld, hier heb ik er een paar van gebruikt. Het achtergrondpapier is van Prima Marketing.

But you know how these things go, if you come across one thing, you'll bound to find other things that you can work with. I got these plaster eggs for free last year at Kruidvat's (a Dutch drugstore). They're meant to be painted, so I first added a few layers of vanilla coloured acrylic paint and then started to embellish them, not too neat and precise, I wanted to have them a slightly 'shabby' look. Since I'm an ardent fan of Jane Austen, I've piled up quite a few images of which I used a couple. DP is from Prima Marketing.

The Big Egg Hunt!!

Wat zou Pasen zijn zonder eieren? De Paashaas moet toch iets te verstoppen hebben?? Wij hebben ons tot nog toe best netjes gedragen eigenlijk, hebben nog geen enkel chocolade Paaseitje in huis gehaald of opgegeten (oké, ik praat niet over de voorraad chocolade die we standaard in huis hebben!). En wat is er nou leuker dan je eigen eieren versieren?? Heb een eiervorm uitgeknipt en ben hiermee aan de gang gegaan. Ik heb de Cheery Lynn stans "pair of ferns" gebruikt om er Blauwe Regen (Wisteria) mee te maken. Er zijn trouwens weer veel nieuwe items bij My Crafty Heart te verkrijgen, zoals de parelpen van Viva Decor, het práchtige papier van Prima Marketing (Fairy Belle) en schitterende bloemen, ga gauw kijken!
What would Easter be without eggs? After all the Easter Bunny has to hide something, surely?? So far my DH and I have behaved pretty decently, we haven't had a single chocolate Easter egg (okay, I'm not talking about the normal stash of chocolate in our cupboard!) Don't you just love embellishing your own eggs? I simply cut out several egg shapes and got to work. I used the Cheery Lynn die "pair of ferns" to turn them into Wisteria. En onlangs heb ik deze prachtige wijnlabels gewonnen bij Jacqueline, ga maar eens op haar mooie blog kijken om te zien wat voor geweldige kaarten ze hiermee maakt! Ik ben nog aan het nadenken over hoe ik ze het beste kan gaan gebruiken, moet nog even broeien ;-) Nogmaals bedankt Jacqueline, ik vind ze geweldig!! (sterker nog: ben blij dat ik ze niet van de wijnflessen hoef af te weken ;-)

Some Bunny's Friend

Allereerst heel hartelijk dank allemaal voor de felicitaties, mijn mannetje kan al die extra vrouwelijke aandacht bijzonder waarderen ;-) Heb voor één van mijn lieve blogvriendinnen deze kaart gemaakt, o.a. om haar te zeggen dat ik haar vriendschap erg op prijs stel. De stempel is van Stampinback (I brake for stamps) en is gebruikt in combinatie met Derwent Coloursoft potloden en het papier van Eline's Huis. Degenen die mij goed kennen, weten dat konijntjes nou eenmaal mijn lievelingsdieren zijn, nou, geef zo'n konijntje zo'n schattig jurkje aan en ik ben verkocht! Geen wonder dat ik zo dol ben op Beatrix Potter! Met zo'n konijntje wil je toch op stap? Al is het maar om een nieuwe handtas te kopen ;-)

I used a Stampinback stamp (I brake for stamps) and coloured my image with  Derwent Coloursoft pencils, papers are from Eline's Huis. Those of you that know me well, know that bunnies happen to be my favourite animals; dress up a bunny in such a pretty frock and I'm in love! No wonder I love Beatrix Potter so much! Who wouldn't want to go out with a cute little bunny like this? If only to buy a new handbag ;-)
