Vandaag is mijn laatste dag als lid van het Poppystamps Design Team. Door toenemende drukte in ons bedrijf heb ik hier helaas afscheid van moeten nemen (en eerlijk gezegd ook door creatieve beperkingen...) Ik heb met veel plezier deel uitgemaakt van dit team, zat er vanaf het begin bij. Dus neem ik daar afscheid van met Love en een Smile ;-)

Today is my last post for our Poppystamps DT. Sadly I've had to step down because of an increasing workload at our company (and to be honest because of creative hinderings as well...) It's been a pleasure to have been part of this wonderful team from the beginning. So I thought I'd say goodbye with lots of Love and a Smile ;-) 

Hier is mijn LOVE kaart - On to my LOVE card then:

Ik heb deze kaart gemaakt voor een lieve vriendin van me die door een heel zwaar dal gaat momenteel, dus stuur ik haar dit hart vol liefde. Heb de hartenkrans 2x uitgesneden en op elkaar gelegd, takjes idem dito. Heb de LOVE-letters uitgesneden en lekker veel glitterlijm gebruikt voor de nodige bling:

I made this card for a dear friend of mine, who is going through a really rough patch in life, so I thought I'd send her a heart filled with love. I cut the heart wreath twice and layered them on top of each other. I then cut out two branches and added the birdies. I then cut out the LOVE letters and added lots of glitter glue to give them a nice shine:

En ik wilde mijn tijd bij Poppystamps graag afsluiten met een Smile kaart. Heb eerst de achtergrond gemaakt door diverse kleuren distress inkt te 'spritzen', gedroogd en de vlinders en klaprozen uitgesneden:

And I couldn't resist making another card to say thank you to all of you in the hopes it will leave a smile on your faces ;-) I first set out to colour my background with several colours of distress ink and then cut out the poppyflowers and butterfly:

Het woordje Smile is uitgesneden met een stans van Memory Box, heb hiervan het negatief gebruikt:

Ook aan Specsavers toe? Ik wel, had als enige goede voornemen dit jaar om mijn ogen te laten checken, komt goed, doe het voorlopig nog even met mijn leesbril ;-) Die nieuwe Poppystamps brillen-stansen kwamen dus best goed van pas voor mijn serie kaartjes:

Hebben jullie dat trouwens ook? Dat je eigenlijk iets wilt doen, maar dat de dag er heel anders uit komt te zien? Dat overkwam ons afgelopen zaterdag. We waren van plan om naar Kempen in Duitsland te gaan om o.a. brood te halen, missen we de afslag. Ook goed, rijden we toch door naar Duisburg? Daar winkel je ook leuk ;-) Komen we langs een meubelzaak, zie ik daar dit juweeltje staan, tja, en wie mij en mijn schoenentic kent? Ha ha ha! Kon 'm écht niet weerstaan, deze schoenstoel met heerlijke vintage-print, komt op m'n hobbykamer!

By the way, does this happen to you, too? That you intend to do something, but that your day will be entirely different because you have a change of plans? We have quite a few of those days ;-) Last Saturday, too. We had intended going to Kempen, Germany, to get some groceries, but missed the junction. Ok, no problem, let's drive on to Duisburg, we can shop there, too ;-) Anyway, when we walked by this particular furniture store this little beauty caught my eye and those of you who really know me, know of my huge fondness of shoes! LOL! I really couldn't resist this shoe chair with vintage pattern, which will find its way into my hobby room!

Op mijn vlag heb ik de leuke, kleine knoopjes verwerkt. Je kunt ze op je werk naaien, zoals ik bovenaan de rand met twine heb gedaan, stapelen etc. Ik heb ook twee knoopjes op mijn vlinder gebruikt. 

The buttons can be used in so many different ways, you can sew them on, as I did with twine at the top of my flag, or you can stack them in order to create something entirely different, it's up to you ;-) I also used two buttons as centrepieces for my butterfly:

Wij Hollanders (eh, ik bedoel Nederlanders ;-) zijn dol op bloemen en of het nou wintert of niet, ik heb ze geregeld in huis, in een vaas, emmer of zelfs in een theepot. Ik was dan ook blij verrast dat Poppystamps o.a. een klassieke theepot in zijn collectie heeft opgenomen. New Beginnings...

Klaar voor het nieuwe jaar? Ik wil jullie in elk geval bedanken voor alle hartelijkheid, vriendschap en creativiteit die ik in het afgelopen jaar van jullie mocht ontvangen, echt super!! Op de valreep nog iets van mijn hand, voor ons Poppystamps blog. Eén van mijn vriendinnen heeft onlangs met haar man een nieuw huis gekocht, en ik heb hen dit kaartje gestuurd:

Warm Winter Greetings

Allereerst sorry, sorry dat ik zo lang niets van me heb laten horen, maar na het drukke seizoen zijn we er even een weekje tussenuit geweest naar Beieren, deels werk (ja, ik weet het ;-) en deels plezier. Hebben éindelijk het schitterende kasteel Neuschwanstein kunnen bezichtigen, het was een hele trippel naar boven (tja, je kon ook te paard of met de bus, maar wij vertrokken met de benenwagen, geloof het of niet, maar het was héérlijk weer!) Naar beneden ging het heel wat sneller ;-) Zeer de moeite waard! En nu zitten we in een mini-verbouwing (nieuwe electriciteit op de bovenverdieping en dakisolatie). Kan de komende weken dus helaas niet al te veel bloggen en al helemaal amper iets leuks maken, want al m'n freubelspullen zijn ingepakt, wèèèèh... Maar voor vandaag heb ik nog wel iets hoor, Kersthuisjes! Had gedacht om daar straks de menuutjes in op te rollen, leek me wel gezellig ;-)

First of all I am so very sorry for having been MIA for such a long time, but after the hectic season we took off to Bavaria (in the south of Germany), partly for work (yes, I know!), partly for fun. We finally got to see the splendid Neuschwanstein Castle! Gosh, it was quite a walk up there (well, we could have taken the carriage or the bus, but being the diehards we are, we went on foot). Believe it or not, but we've had such splendid weather! And the fun part of an ascending road is that the way downhill is a lot easier ;-) But it was sooooo worth it! And now we're in the midst of rebuilding the upper floors (new wiring and the roof is being insulated). So I am not able to blog much in the coming weeks, although I will most certainly try to as much as I can! And I won't be able to create much, for all my craft stuff is packed away, argh... But I have a little something for today, Christmas houses! I thought it would be a fun idea to insert paper scrolls with the Christmas menus:
