Spreading Christmas Cheer

Things aren't going all that smooth when it comes to making Christmas cards, but at least I finished three more. This may sound crazy, but this is about the maximum number of the same cards I like to make. I always want to make something else, I'm no 'production worker' in that respect ;-) Wish I were though! Here's another vintage card, with one of those lovely old-fashioned images and a couple of swirly dies. Have a lovely weekend you all and thanks so much for coming round again, it's always nice to hear from you girls!

Styles Change, Style Doesn't

We felt like another swap and the theme of Steampunk was set by Odetta this time. Oh, I just love this style, I'm really very partial to those fine Victorian influences! I made an embellished top hat which was cut by hand and used the most appropriate papers of Graphic 45 (Steampunk Debutante). I made a kind of corset and added all kinds of metal embellies. The rolled up flowers were made with the Spellbinders Spiral Blossom One die, which is available from My Crafty Heart at an extremely competitive price! Inside some huge pearls. I've also cut out a female head, placed it inside a brad and applied some Glossy Accents (Ranger) to it. The text stamp is from Scrollswork.

Witchcraft

Do you girls believe in ghosts and witches? I most certainly do! Especially since my lamp went bust when I was trying to photograph this tag ;-) So unfortunately the deep purple has turned into lilac and of course the witch flew off by mail before I even got the chance to take a new picture. Those modern brooms all have turbo engines! I found this sexy witch on Deviantart (art by Sephiramy) and sent her off to my friend's husband who'll be celebrating his birthday tomorrow. Will she be able to enchant him and ensnare her in her web ;-)

I couldn't resist bringing some Halloween atmosphere into our hallway and so I made this wreath and decorated a lady's head:

I wrapped some black fabric around the wreath and dressed it with autumn leaves, tulle, lace and all kinds of riffraff that was lying around:

- And some more Halloween to come, for last week I received this gorgeous envelope all the way from Finland on our doorstep, just look at those stamps! Aren't they way too cool?

Nogmaals heel hartelijk bedankt!!
And here's what I found inside, these amazing Halloween goodies which I won from Niina (Thrifty Finn), with the coolest of papers, stamps, beautiful ribbons and washi tape. Niina has a supercool blog and a marvellous sense of humour, why not pay her a visit, she'd love that! Thanks again for everything!

Nogmaals bedankt Sylvia!

And last but not least I'd like to share these awards with you that Sylvia gave to me. Since I appreciate you all very much, please feel free to take these with you and put them on your blogs. Thanks again Sylvia!

Balloons Make You Happy!!

The daughter of one of my blog buddies is celebrating her 7th birthday today. So Lana, happy birthday to you sweet girl! Ouch, that's been a while since I was 7 years old/young myself, LOL! We'll start changing our teeth again before you know it ;-) Gosh, please don't make that happen! I made her this easel card. The image was coloured with Derwent Coloursolft pencils.

Cards For Friends

I love receiving happy mail, I'd be lying if I said I didn't! But what I love best is to make my friends happy by sending them homemade creations ;-) Here are some things I made for some of my friends using the gorgeous paper of Prima Marketing (Tea-Thyme), which is available at My Crafty Heart. I made this card for Chantal's birthday last Saturday. The Marie Antoinette pendant was a gift from Odetta. I made a kind of envelope card with a tag inside. The Marie image can be found on Deviant Art (Mess Muddle And Fun):

This pizzabox with scrummy contents (chocolate!) was sent to Odetta some weeks ago; of course it's soooooo empty now, lol! I stamped a dressform onto the paper and coloured the image with Derwent Coloursoft pencils:

En deze deurhanger was bestemd voor Marie - and this doorhanger found a new owner, Marie:

Nogmaals onwijs bedankt!

And then there's also this happy mail, Alenka sent me this beautifully handmade doll all the way from Russia! Alenka makes such gorgeous dolls, why not go and have a look. Thanks again dear friend!

Thanks for looking, it was nice having you girls around!

Angel Kisses

Today of all days, when the sun is already shining brightly and it looks as if we're going to have 23 C this afternoon (!) I'm posting about Christmas ;-) Have to work fast, for I've got loads to make! Here's a tiny Christmas gift, a small gift box (pizza box) that I folded from kraft paper and DP. Tucked inside is a mini booklet and I've also added another tiny box in which you will find lovely fragrant bath salts:

Friends are the flowers in the garden of life

A Spooktacular Party!

I don't blame you girls, you surely must be thinking "what has she put up on her blog this time!" Quite bizarre really, come to think of it... But hey, what can a girl do when she has a brother-in-law who'll be celebrating his birthday this weekend and who's also completely "into horror" (such movies makes him scream with laughter!). So you see why I had to make him this card, he'll probably die of laughter! Even the cat's there (another favourite of his). And I'm completely smitten with those gorgeous Memory Box dies!
